We want to be transparent about how we make money.

1. What Before Business Bankruptcy is

Before Business Bankruptcy is a for-profit marketing and lead-referral business. We are not a law firm, a nonprofit, a credit counseling agency, or a government program. We operate a website that provides educational content and a consultation-request form for United States business owners considering options for resolving business debt.

2. How we get paid

When a visitor submits a consultation request, we may forward the visitor's contact information to one or more independent service partners — for example, a debt-settlement negotiator, a restructuring advisor, or a bankruptcy attorney. If a partner accepts the referral, or if the visitor subsequently engages the partner, the partner may pay us a referral fee, a per-lead fee, or a revenue-share amount. Compensation models vary by partner.

This compensation does not change what you pay the partner if you engage them. Partners disclose their own fees to you in writing before you enroll in any program.

3. What this means for you

  • We have a financial incentive to route you to a partner. We try to match you with a partner appropriate to your situation, but we do not guarantee that any particular partner is the best or least expensive option for you, and you should compare offers before committing.
  • You are always free to decline any partner referral and to choose a service provider on your own.
  • We are not licensed to provide legal, tax, or accounting advice. Only a professional licensed in your state can advise you on whether bankruptcy, settlement, restructuring, or any other option is appropriate for your specific situation.

4. Advertising disclosures

Portions of our website may include sponsored content, affiliate links, or paid placements. Any content that is paid for or that generates compensation for Before Business Bankruptcy will be identified in a manner consistent with Federal Trade Commission guidance, including the FTC's .com Disclosures and Endorsement Guides at 16 C.F.R. Part 255.

5. Our partner selection

We select partners based on a combination of factors, which may include service area, industry specialization, client capacity, compensation terms, past performance, and other business considerations. Selection criteria may change at our discretion. We do not publicly disclose individual commercial terms with partners.

6. Your recourse

If you have a complaint about a partner we referred you to, please contact Before Business Bankruptcy at the details below. We will take your feedback seriously and, where warranted, discontinue working with the partner.
